A southern suburb is on the move and is tipped to follow success of nearby neighbourhoods

Real estate agents are advising home buyers to purchase in Coopers Plains now before prices follow those of neighbouring Salisbury and Sunnybank.

Recent rezoning, which allows for multi-unit dwellings, is also attracting developers and builders to the suburb.

Ray White Sunnybank sales agent Elena Alexander said she had been inundated with inquiries from interstate and local first-home buyers, investors and developers.

"You can still get so much for $500,000 here, and you couldn't buy anything at this price in Eight Mile Plains or Sunnybank," she said.

RE/MAX Colonial Annerley sales agent Mark Ward said with Salisbury "taken" already, and high prices in Sunnybank, Coopers Plains was the next hot spot for buyers.
